Hello my name is Annette Gerard.
My photography journey started when I was 9 years old when I got my first photography lesson from my father. Then at age 12 I had my first darkroom lesson. Later, I graduated from Sheridan College, Illustration program (which included photography).
That brought me to working as a graphic designer, art director and creative director for many years in advertising,
I helped to create many powerful national brands with the creative and strategic concepts and consistent design ideas that will help brands with their complex revenue generating needs.
I took Photography at night school at Mohawk College, which really helped me develop this skillset.
I am now a photography judge for The Ontario Council of Camera Clubs (O3C). I have won provincially for their annual competition two years in a row, in the "Specialty Category" for Food & Drink and Canadiana. My Food & Drink photo was given a perfect score with 30/30, the only image to do so out of 3500 photos submitted.
